Richard Campbell
Microsoft RD, MVP

Richard Campbell has been involved with microcomputers and software since 1977. His career has spanned the industry both on the hardware and software sides, from manufacturing to sales, service, game development, line-of-business software and large scale systems. Today Richard is on the board of directors for Telerik, a leading vendor of development, team productivity, automated testing tools, UI components and content management solutions in the Microsoft space.

He's a partner in PWOP Productions, creating a variety of multimedia programs including '.NET Rocks!, the Internet Audio Talk Show for .NET Developers', a podcast produced twice a week for more than 250,000 listeners in 150 countries. In addition he's the host of 'RunAs Radio', a podcast for the IT Professional using Microsoft technologies.

In the fall of 2011, he helped launch a third podcast called 'The Tablet Show', focused on the emerging tablet and mobile market. Richard is also a Microsoft Regional Director, MVP and speaks at conferences around the world.

Tim Huckaby
Microsoft RD, MVP

Tim Huckaby is focused on Engaging User Experiences in Software and the Natural User Interface (NUI) - Touch, Gesture, Voice and Neural in a number of technologies and platforms on a broad spectrum of devices.

Mr. Huckaby has been called a “Pioneer of the Smart Client Revolution” by the press. Mr. Huckaby has been awarded many times for the highest rated technical presentations and keynotes for Microsoft and many other technology conferences like CES and events all around the world. Mr. Huckaby is consistently rated in the top 10% of all speakers at these events. Having worked for or with Microsoft for over 25 years, Mr. Huckaby has been on stage with, and done numerous keynote demos for many Microsoft executives including Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer mulitple times.

In 1999 Mr. Huckaby founded InterKnowlogy, a custom application development firm that creates high-impact software experiences and continues to flourish over 13 years later. In 2011 Mr. Huckaby founded Actus Interactive Software as a product company compliment to InterKnowlogy. Mr. Huckaby serves both companies as Chairman.

Mr. Huckaby has over 30 years of technology experience including serving on a Microsoft server product team as a development lead on an architecture team. Mr. Huckaby is a Microsoft Regional Director, a Microsoft MVP and serves on many councils and boards like the Microsoft Application Development Partner Advisory Council and the Microsoft Healthcare Executive Board.

Martin Kulov
Microsoft RD, MVP

Martin Kulov enjoys optimizing software development and operations. He loves picking up on various performance and quality issues that brings tremendous value to business. Being developer for the last 15 years himself he learned how software gets developed in good and not so good ways.

For his dedication to community and passion to help he is annually awarded with Microsoft Most Valuable Professional award in Visual Studio ALM since 2006. Starting from 2010 Martin is also member of the Microsoft Regional Director program to provide technical guidance and expertise to communities and businesses worldwide.

Martin often speaks at international developer conferences including DevReach which he founded back in 2006.

Peter Leeson
CMMI Specialist

Peter Leeson is the founder and director of Q:PIT Ltd, based in England. He has nearly 40 experience in the software industry, is a visiting scientist with the Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh (Pennsylvania, USA). He is an internationally renowned speaker, instructor, consultant and process appraiser.

After spending many years being a process improvement consultant, Peter has focused more and more on the need for job satisfaction and the feeling of achievement as the ultimate key to quality, which means lower time to market and lower costs. Peter has worked in nearly every continent (still missing South America and Antarctica), and believes that any change for the better in an organization has to be deeply rooted in the culture of the country, the organization and the team.

Peter is not only a certified lead appraiser and instructor in CMMI (services, development and acquisition), Peter does quality assurance and development work in improving and rewriting the various courses of the CMMI Institute, seeking to make them more learner centred and focused on real improvement of business objectives and away from respect of theories and principles.

Raffaele Rialdi

Raffaele Rialdi is a senior software developer for Vevy Europe, Business Platform Technology Advisor for Microsoft and a consultant for Phoenix IB.

Since 2004, he's a Microsoft MVP on Developer Security. He teaches C/C++, VB6, C #, VB.NET, .NET Framework, ADO.NET and ASP.NET at the Universitatea of Genoa.

Andy Cross

Andy Cross is an author, software consultant, cloud architect and co-owner of Elastacloud. His passion for distributed computing, big data and high performance compute sees him building massively scalable system utilising the limitless potential of the cloud. Andy’s specialism in the Cloud realm is big data, computation distribution, runtime diagnostics and service elasticity.

He is a Windows Azure MVP, Insider, co-founder of the UK London Windows Azure User Group and a Microsoft DevPro Community Leader.

Adam Granicz
Microsoft MVP

Adam Granicz is a long-time F# insider and key community member, and the co-author of four F# books, including Expert F# 3.0 with Don Syme, the designer of the language. His company IntelliFactory specializes in consulting on the most demanding F# projects; shaping the future of the development of F# web, mobile and cloud applications; and developing WebSharper, the most mature web and mobile development framework for F#.

Alessandro Pilotti
Microsoft MVP

Alessandro Pilotti is the CEO of Cloudbase Solutionsm a company focused on cloud computing interoperability based in Verona, Italy and Timisoara, Romania. Cloudbase Solutions provides the integration between OpenStack and Windows, including the Hyper-V Nova Compute driver and Windows Cloud-Init.

Alessandro is currently an MVP on ASP .Net / Internet Information Services and a Windows Azure Insider, holds a master in computer science, various certifications in the IT domain (MCSD, MCSE, MCDBA, RHCE) and is a Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT). He enjoys doing technical speeches, developing open source projects and participating in the IT community life in general.

When not coding, consulting or training, he is flying with his paraglider into old-fashioned clouds.

Petru Jucovschi
Developer Evangelist

Petru Jucovschi is an Evangelist at Microsoft working with designers and developers to unleash breakthrough innovations. Petru had a fast start in 2012 and has helped hundreds of students and professionals creating their first apps.

A subject matter expert on mobile and cloud industry trends, Petru is a go-to person at Microsoft Romania for topics related to HTML 5, Windows 8, Windows Phone and Windows Azure.”

Ciprian Jichici
Microsoft RD, MVP

Ciprian Jichici is the General Manager of Genisoft, a consultancy, training, and software development company based in Timisoara, Romania. His key technological interests are Software Architecture and the Microsoft Application Platform. He is a big fan of Business Intelligence (especially Data Mining), Application Lifecycle Management, Microsoft .NET and Cloud Computing.

He enjoys talking to people and sharing his knowledge and experience. This is the main reason why he also has an academic career. Currently, he is a teaching assistant at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science from The West University of Timisoara, teaching database and software development courses.

Ciprian is also a member of the Microsoft Regional Directors program and a Microsoft MVP on Windows Azure.

Tiberiu Covaci
Microsoft MVP

Before moving back to Romania in 2012, Tiberiu Covaci lived with his family in Sweden and Bermuda for 16 years. He founded Many-core, a company that trained and mentored developers and architects around the world to understand the .NET Framework and the technologies built on top of .NET. He works closely with Microsoft as member of the Developer Guidance Council, course Author, and Technology Reviewer for the Microsoft .NET Official Curriculum courses.

He is a member of the ASP Insider and Telerik Insider groups, IASA Speaker & Trainer, INETA Speaker and Country Lead, founding member of IASA Sweden and IASA Romania, and former member of the MCT Advisory Council. He is interested in technologies like ASP.NET (WebForms, MVC, WebApi), multi-core and asynchronous programming, new programming languages and trends.

For his contributions in the area of Technical Computing he was awarded the MVP title by Microsoft and Telerik.

Adrian Stoian
Microsoft MVP

Adrian Stoian is an IT Trainer and Consultant at TechReady, specializing on systems management and virtualization solution with a focus on System Center family. Adrian is a Microsoft Certified Trainer since 1998 and enjoys explaining how to plan, implement and operate IT solutions.

Since 2009 he was awarded Microsoft MVP on System Center Configuration Manager. Whenever he has time, Adrian likes to go mountain biking.

Cristian Lefter
Microsoft MVP

Cristian Lefter is one of the SQL Server MVPs and as a primary competence he is a technical trainer. He is also a consultant, author, speaker and community leader. As his main expertise is Microsoft SQL Server, which resulted in founding an official PASS chapter, writing books and articles, contributing at the development of Microsoft Official Courseware, authoring certification exams, speaking at technical events and working as a Subject Matter Expert in various projects.

For the moment, he is the team leader of the Business Intelligence Development Team at Ubisoft, one of the largest video game companies in the world. Outside technology, Cristian is very passionate about public speaking being the founder and currently the president of a Toastmasters Club.

Besides the technical and public speaking communities, Cristian is involved in the dancing community, being one of the West Coast Swing certified instructors.

Andrei Ignat
Microsoft MVP

Andrei Ignat has 16 year programming experience. He started from VB3 and he became a C# Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP). He is also a consultant, author, speaker, community leader and www.asp.net moderator.

He is now a Senior .NET programmer at Ubisoft, one of the largest video game companies in the world. You can ask him any .NET related question - he will be glad to answer - if he knows the answer. If not, he will learn.

Mihai Nadăș
Microsoft MVP

In his role as CTO, Mihai Nadăș is defining and driving Yonder's ambition of being a true innovator, leading the organization’s vision and expertise on the applicability of new and upcoming technologies.

Mihai is working for Yonder since 2006 where he started his career as a Software Developer, later on taking the route of Project Management where he dedicated his time leading large transformation projects.

Mihai’s passion for technology materialized in achievements such as representing Romania at the Imagine Cup Worldwide Finals in Seoul, South Korea, co-founding a technology startup, leading technical communities, speaking at numerous technology-related events and more recently being rewarded by Microsoft with the Most Valuable Professional award in Windows Azure.

Mihai is BSc in Computer Science and MSc in Artificial Intelligence, both after attending the Babeș-Bolyai University from Cluj-Napoca. Currently he’s an Aspen Institute Fellow, being selected for the Young Leaders Programme in 2012.

Radu Vunvulea
Microsoft MVP

Radu Vunvulea is a senior software engineer at iQuest, working on LoB application using Microsoft technologies. He has a vast experience on different platforms from mobile and web to backend solution deployed on on-premise and in the cloud.

He worked on different fields such as e-commerce, pharma, automoto, logistics, home automation and transportation. He is very active at offline events in Romania, where he is not only a speaker, but he is also an organizer. In the online world he writes technical posts on his blog.

Sergiu Damian
Software Architect

Sergiu Damian is an experienced Software Architect with a deep understanding of software design, development practices and processes, and team dynamics. During the past 9 years he took on various management and technical roles and participated actively in the growth of ISDC, a European player in custom software development, from 30 to 200+ software engineers in their Cluj-Napoca development center. He participated in all project phases, from bid to after care. He recruited and coached colleagues. Through all these years, seeing software products being born and fulfilling their purpose kept him very close to software design and development. Since 2007 he focused on the topic of Software Architecture and the Architect’s role in the ever increasing complex world of business and IT. Based on this experience, he now opens up to the world in his continuous quest to share and learn even more. Currently, he is an independent Software Architect, working with various companies and teams on reaching their goals.

He co-founded and acts as President of the Romanian Association for Better Software (RABS), working hard to facilitate knowledge sharing among experienced software developers, trying to fill in the gaps left by universities, companies or books. He encourages others to talk about their unique achievements and to contribute to the overall quality of their work as an industry.

He was born, has studied, works and lives in Cluj-Napoca, the heart of Transylvania and is proud to be a member of a vibrant community of top engineers. For the past three and a half years, he spent his free time with his son and wife, re-learning how to see the world through a child’s innocent eyes.

Florin Cardașim

Florin Cardașim leads the Architecture and Analysis discipline in Endava Iași/Romania. Beyond his technical skills, Florin has gained a broad experience as a trainer for companies and speaker in community events. Florin is passionate by technology and by working with people to construct amazing things.

He is experienced as both technical leader and software project manager. He is focused on quality and on-time delivery while carefully looking to keep inside the fun of the software development.

Dan Nicola

Dan Nicola is a passionate Agile practitioner, focused on guiding teams in becoming self organized and committed to delivering customer value at all times. He is a Certified Scrum Master, Scrum trainer and coach, always willing to help others make the transition to an Agile approach.

Dan is one of the founders of CodeCamp, one of the largest offline communities of software developers in Romania. He is always eager to talk about and share his knowledge with others, learning from them at the same time.

Florin Coroș

Florin Coroș is a passionate software architect and developer who has been working for the last 10 years in a wide variety of business applications using Microsoft technologies. He is particularly interested in distributed applications, object oriented design and unit testing. He has an increased interest in software quality and he strongly believes in quality driven products. As one of the fans of Uncle Bob he values his saying: “the only way to go fast is to go well”. Currently, Florin works at ISDC in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.

In the last years Florin got involved in IT communities. He is one of the Co-Founders of RABS, a community of experienced IT professionals which wants to help raise the quality of our products as an industry. Last year, with the support of all major development communities, Florin organized The Global Day Of Code Retreat in Cluj-Napoca, an event which gathered more than 70 passionate developers for a full day of practicing their profession.

Lorant Domokos

Lorant Domokos likes to explore cutting edge technologies and development practices while also trying to practically integrate them into efficient and cost effective enterprise applications. He started out close to the metal with C++ and neural signal processing in the medical field and then shifted to using open web standards in line of business applications.

In the last few years he focused on single page application architectures in a quest to bring the best possible user experiences to largest audience possible. He is an active member of the development community with several presentations on modern web techniques. Always with an eye on code quality and reusability he is pushing the web the furthest it can go. He is a lead developer at Fortech, Microsoft Student Partner and moonlighting as an enterprise mobility consultant working on projects deployed in Germany and New York.

Sorin Stan
Chief Strategy Officer

Sorin Stan is Chief Strategy Officer in SOFTVISION where he coordinates several projects. He likes to challenge situations leading people to a higher level.

Working as a software architect for several years he developed the architecture for a big player on US tools market. Last year Sorin graduated an MBA embracing the business side of the IT.

He is an active player in the local community, participating in different meetups, lobbying the IASA Romania and organizing the NEXT Conference.

Mihai Tătăran
Microsoft MVP

Mihai Tătăran is the General Manager of Avaelgo, a software consulting and custom development company based in Romania, and an MVP on Windows Azure and Windows Azure Insider. Lately Mihai had an extensive experience with Windows Azure: completed solutions for different customers, and delivering the Microsoft DPE training on Azure for partners in Romania. One of those projects made it to a Case Study on Microsoft .com website, and his company Avaelgo was nominated as Cloud SME of the Month in Europe in May 2012.

Mihai has very good experience with large audiences at international conferences: DevReach in Bulgaria, Codecamp Macedonia, TechEd NA 2011 and 2012 BoF sessions; he is also involved in organizing ITCamp Romania.

Tudor Damian

Tudor Damian works as an IT consultant and technical trainer, his company offering outsourced IT support services. He is a Microsoft Virtual Machine MVP and has a vast experience in working with virtualization and IT management technologies, an experience which comes from implementing and managing large hosting infrastructures.

He is also a co-founder of a Romanian IT community (ITSpark.ro), oriented towards the entry and mid-level ITPro audience: students or beginners in the IT field, technical and non-technical staff in the SMB/NGO segment, and end-users who are either starting to or want to learn more about IT in general.
